Georg Fischer AG to expand investment in Changzhou

On the afternoon of April 7, Mayor Fei Gaoyun received a delegation headed by the CEO of Georg Fischer AG (abbreviated GF) at the Administration Center.

GF comprises three divisions of GF Piping Systems, GF Automotive, and GF Machining Solutions. Founded in 1802, the Corporation is headquartered in Switzerland and is present in 32 countries, with 124 companies, 48 of which are production facilities. GF offers solutions for the safe transport of liquids and gases, lightweight casting components in vehicles, and high-precision manufacturing technologies.

Previously known as GF AgieCharmilles, GF Machining Solutions†electrical discharge, high-speed milling and laser texturing machines, along with automation solutions, make it a leading provider to the tool and mold making industry and to manufacturers of precision components. GF AgieCharmilles established a branch in Changzhou in 2007, which has maintained high growth since it was put into production in 2009. This year, the group is planning to expand its plant in Changzhou and build it into a high-end CNC production center.
