On June 28, a new metro line in Changzhou was opened to the public. In the month that followed, Line 2, also known as the blue line, transported more than 1.5 million passengers, recording an average ridership of 51,000 passengers daily. By July 27, a total of 999,000 transfers had been made between Line 1 and Line 2. During the same period, the daily average ridership on Line 1 reached 130,000 passengers.

From June 28 to July 27, the fleet traveled a total mileage of 390,000 kilometers, with 100% punctuality of train arrivals. The three busiest stations on Line 2 were Cultural Palace, Nan Da Jie and Qingfeng Park.
