Changzhou has 219 companies on the recently released list of star-level industrial enterprises in 2021, according to Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology.

Among them, there are 61 five-star, 63 four-star, and 95 three-star enterprises. Over half of them are located in Wujin and Xinbei districts.

The five-star industrial enterprises altogether achieved sales revenue of 653.84 billion yuan, representing 73.9 percent of the total sales made by star-level companies.

In terms of annual tax payments, Zenith Steel Group Co., Ltd. ranked first with 2.59 billion yuan taxes paid in 2021, while Jiangsu Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited ranked second with 1.15 billion yuan taxes paid. Li Auto’s Changzhou production base, Jiangsu Hengli Hydraulic Co., Ltd., and Changzhou Hualida Garments Group Co., Ltd. paid 370 million yuan, 1.02 billion yuan, and 200 million yuan taxes, respectively.
