It was learned from the Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics in Changzhou that Changzhou’s consumer price index (CPI) was increased by 1.8% year-on-year, 0.1 percentage point lower than the pace of growth registered in September.The prices of tobacco and alcohol, food, household appliances and maintenance services, housing, goods and services of entertainment, education and culture, health care, and products for personal use increased by 2.6%, 2.1%, 0.8%, 0.5%, 0.1% and 0.1% respectively. The prices of transportation and communication reduced by 5.4%.

Some of the services prices rose higher, such as maintenance and repair, haircut and perm, bathing, and attraction tickets, increased by 25.0%, 12.5%, 10.1% and 7.2% respectively.
