On November 23, EMAG (China) initiated the construction of the first-phase project of its high-end CNC machine tool plant in Jintan Economic Development Zone. This program, with a total investment of 4.9 billion yuan, is classified among the ?10 projects of Changzhou and the key projects of Jiangsu province. The newly developed Emag VL-5, after its first 10 prototypes were produced in the German headquarter, has been transferred here for future manufacturing, which will provide Chinese customers with the best cost-effective precision machinery options. Along with EMAG’s settlement in Jintan, many European, American and Asian companies will follow up and set their branches here, and will thus help improve the city’s machinery and equipment manufacturing industry from management, technology and many other perspectives.
