Changzhou receives 2,639,200 tourists during the holiday

On February 8, it was learned from Changzhou Bureau of Tourism on February 8 that 60 scenic spots received 2,639,200 tourists in total during Spring Festival, with a year-on-year growth of 12.06% and a revenue of 104 million yuan, up 27.75% compared with 2013. In the Spring Festival, a series of thematic festival activities were held in the scenic spots, which attracted a large number of tourists.

Hot spring and rural tour have become people’s new choices. Yushui hot spring, Dino-valley hot spring, Hantian hot spring and Huadu hot spring received 321,300 tourists with a year-on-year growth of 57.83%. The 18 major rural tourism spots received 268,900 tourists, surging by 35.6% year on year.

The tourist industry pushes the prosperity of food, living, driving, traveling, catering, housing, transportation, touring, shopping and entertainment.

The 60 scenic spots are made up of three categories, including AA or higher level ones like Universal Dinosaur Town, Tianmu Lake, Yan City, Changzhou Global Animation Joyland, Tianning Temple, Maoshan Mountain, Nanshan Bamboo Sea, Nandajie, Hongmei Park, Changzhou Museum, Qingfeng Park, Yushui hot spring, Canal 5 Creativity Campus, etc.; rural tourist spots such as Agriculture Ecological Garden in Longtan Lake, Jintao Ecological Garden, and so on; and non-leveled ones like Zijing Park.
