On the afternoon of June 29, the China Jintan - Germany Investment Promotion Conference was held via a video conference. Zhou Xinsheng, deputy mayor of Jintan district, and leaders of the district’s Development and Reform Bureau, Science and Technology Bureau, Industry and Information Bureau and Commerce Bureau attended the event. The conference also had the presence of investment promotion executives of the towns and industrial parks under Jintan’s administration, as well as local entrepreneurs in major industries. On the German side, representatives of 26 enterprises attended the event via video.

At the conference, Zhou Xinsheng extended a sincere welcome to the participants from Germany. Representative of Jintan’s Commerce Bureau introduced the district’s investment environment based on its location, transportation, facilities and services. In the section for foreign investment projects, eight representatives of the participating German enterprises presented their programs, after which the two sides had a“face-to-face� communication. Zhu Fenkou, vice director of the Administration Committee of Jintan Economic Development Zone, answered the questions from the German side in detail, giving whole picture of Jintan’s outstanding investment environment.

Since Jiangsu province and Baden-Württemberg established a friendship-province relationship in 1994, Jintan has maintained friendly exchanges with German cities in culture and economy over the years. The China-Germany (Changzhou) Innovation Park in the Jintan Economic Development Zone has gathered many German investors, making it another hot spot for German-invested enterprises in Jiangsu.

Through the video conference, Jintan started a new mode of “face-to-face� investment promotion, building a remote service platform for foreign enterprises to learn about Jintan and explore the possibilities of cooperation.
