Saudi Shanghai World Expo 2010 Pavilion to be rebuilt in Changzhou

On the afternoon of November 23, Mayor Ding Chun met with the delegation headed by HE. Dr. Abdulrahman Alshaikh, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs (MOMRA) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the Administration Center. The two sides exchanged ideas about the program of rebuilding the Saudi Shanghai World Expo 2010 Pavilion (also known as the "Moon Boat") in Changzhou.

Ding Chun said that Changzhou is accelerating the progress of high-quality development of "three star cities." The Moon Boat had left a deep impression on the visitors during the Shanghai World Expo 2010. Changzhou will go all out to support the construction of the rebuilding project.

After communicating with the MOMRA of Saudi Arabia, it has been agreed that Yuexing Group will be responsible for the construction and operation of the Moon Boat to be rebuilt at the Jiangnan Global Harbor, which will become a permanent exhibition building that reflects the friendship between China and Saudi Arabia as well as the history and culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

At the meeting, the two sides also signed theMemorandum of Establishing Friendly Exchanges and Cooperation between MOMRA and Changzhou for Rebuilding the Saudi Shanghai World Expo 2010 Pavilion in Changzhouto promote the launch and construction of the project.
