On the afternoon of Sept. 15th, Changzhou held a work meeting on overseas Chinese affairs.

According to incomplete statistics, more than 50,000 overseas Chinese are from Changzhou, mainly in the United States, Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Singapore, and so on. As of the end of 2016, the city had over 3,100 enterprises registered by overseas Chinese, mainly involved in textile, machinery and equipment, bio-medicine, medical equipment, energy saving, chemical and new materials, real estate, trade and logistics, etc.

It is reported that the next stage, Changzhou will implement “five actions� to develop the resources of overseas Chinese, attract their investment and talent, promote their enterprise transformation, improve services for them and optimize the work style.
