The 2021 Cross-Strait Youth Activity at Taihu Lake & Jiangsu-Taiwan Youth Cultural Festival kicked off in Changzhou on the evening of July 11.

The event, supervised by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, is co-sponsored by the Taiwan Affairs Office of Jiangsu Province and the Changzhou Municipal People’s Government. The co-organizers include the Taiwan Affairs Offices of Changzhou, Suzhou, Wuxi, and Huzhou cities.

The event, lasting the rest of the year, has 12 sub-activities, including innovation competition, basketball tournament, food festival, agricultural technology seminar, etc.

On the first day of the Jiangsu-Taiwan Youth Cultural Festival, young singers from both sides of the Taiwan Strait performed at the opening show. Also kicked off are street dance competitions, the Honor of Kings Youth Championship, graffiti art show, cultural products market, and night market.
