It was informed on May 2nd that Changzhou Airport transferred a total of 14,100 passengers during the three-day May Day holiday, an increase of 4.2%. Cargo and mail throughput reached 79.8 tons. 134 flights have taken off from or landed in the airport, including 8 international (regional) flights, respectively flying to Taipei, Nagoya, Seoul and Daegu. April 30th saw the highest number of departures, while May 1st witnessed a pretty high number of arrivals. The passenger throughput peak also appeared on May 1st, earlier than usual. From the perspective of air routes, domestic routes to Chongqing, Chengdu, Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Harbin, Xiamen and Qingdao achieved an average load factor of more than 80%; while international (regional) routes to Taipei and Nagoya reached load factor of over 85%. On May 1st, Sichuan Airlines added the Kunming - Changzhou - Qingdao routes, achieving load factor of 97.55% on the first day. In the aspect of logistics, main destinations of air freight services are the Southwest China and Guangzhou-Shenzhen direction. For the new Kunming route, Changzhou Airport actively negotiated with airlines for preferential tariffs and delivered a total of 4.03 tons of cargo, mainly flowers.
