According to the Changzhou Municipal Judiciary Bureau, Measures for the Prevention and Control of Dust Pollution in Changzhou will come into force on June 1 this year.

On the basis of national laws and provincial regulations on air pollution control, the Measures contains six chapters and 45 articles.

It specifies the responsibilities of producers and business operators, with detailed prevention and control measures to tackle dust pollution of various degrees. Through administrative guidance and joint-department inspection, mid- and post-project regulations will be put in place. The government will also come up with innovative ways in administrative services to ease the burden on enterprises.

The Measures establishes mechanisms and regulations for dust pollution control, thus providing a legal guarantee in the city’s pursuit of cleaner air.
