The other day, students in Liyang and its sister city, Hakusan, carried out an online exchange. The 43 students from the local primary school in Hakusan watched the videos of three schools in Liyang, namely Liyang Foreign Language School, Liyang Yanshan Junior High School, and Middle School affiliated to Liyang Senior High School. They were excited to see the beautiful and tidy campus, and amazed at the fluent English spoken by students in Liyang. It was their hope that they would come to Liyang one day. The city of Hakusan expressed its thanks to the government of Liyang and the faculty of the three schools for holding this online event. In addition, a Sino-Japanese cultural exchange was held in Hakusan on Feb 14. During the event, people tasted traditional Chinese food, learnt about Liyang, and tested their Chinese level. This event has enhanced the mutual understanding between the two cities, and strengthened ties among their citizens.
