On February 25th, it was learned from the Changzhou Port that the situation of foreign trade has been getting better since 2016, which for the first time achieved bulk exports of 518 TEUs of automobiles. The five export destinations of vehicles are Ireland, New Zealand, the United States, Malaysia and Chile, of which, Ireland alone imported 393 TEUs. The exported automobiles are produced mainly by Changzhou Huanghai Automobile Co., Ltd. and Changzhou Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd. Changzhou Huanghai Automobile is located in the Electromechanical Industrial Park of Changzhou National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (CND). Its business scope covers the development, manufacture and testing of traditional bus, touring bus, new energy bus and the key components. The company now has an annual capacity of 6,000 sets of automobiles. Changzhou Dongfeng Automobile is the eastern manufacturing base of DFAC, which is expected to complete its renovation project in 2016. By then, its annual capacity will achieve 150,000 sets of automobiles. According to the export data of the city’s seven major bulk commodities, in January 2016, the exports of photovoltaic products, non-woven fabric, steel and salt all achieved growth.
