On June 28, Yaskawa (Changzhou) Mechatronics System Co., Ltd. was officially settled in Wujin National High-Tech Industrial Zone (WIZ). The company has a total investment of 45 million US dollars and a registered capital of 20 million dollars. It is funded by Yaskawa Electric Corporation and will build a base for R&D and production of inverters, servos and controllers. Founded in 1915, Yaskawa Electric Corporation is a Japanese manufacturer of servos, motion controllers, AC motor drives, switches and industrial robots. It has grown to become one of the leading suppliers of AC servos, AC inverters, CNC controller systems, robotics, and systems integration. In March 2012, Yaskawa established its first overseas robot manufacturing base in the WIZ, which now has an annual production capacity of 18,000 sets. The new project will further promote the high-quality development of Wujin’s robot industry and accelerate the gathering of highly skilled talents in robotics and intelligent equipment.
