The Haian Municipal Solid Waste Incineration Power Plant constructed by the Liyang-based Huaneng Group has won the the 2014-2015 Luban Award, making it the fourth winner of this award in Liyang County. This power plant is an eco-friendly project that aims at innocuous disposal and recycling of waste.

In recent years, Huaneng Group has successfully completed a number of big construction projects and therefore received lots of honors. With a key focus on research and development, the group has developed a cluster of advanced construction technologies.

Established in 1987, Luban Award represents the highest honor in the field of construction. Winners of this award have to meet high standards in design, construction, etc.
