On the morning of 12th of August, the opening ceremony of Changzhou West Taihu Lake Hi-tech Park of Universities & the signing ceremony of the first batch of colleges settling in was held by the West Taihu Lake in Wujin. Leaders of Changzhou and Wujin district: Wang Chengbin, Zhou Bin, Wang Mingchang, Wang Zhaohui and Wang Youdong were present.

The West Taihu Lake Hi-tech Park of Universities is located inside the West Taihu Lake Hi-tech Industrial Zone, with planning area of about 525 mu. Standard factories of 63,000 square meters have been built in the first phase and that of 197,000 square meters in the second phase is under construction at the moment. The apartments for talents and buildings for experts cover approximately 220,000 square meters. Focusing on the strategy of “one park with three zones� which contains the incubation zone, the acceleration zone and the industrial zone, the Park is aiming at building a highland of the high-tech transferring and UNISPAR programs in Changzhou.
