On June 17, YASKAWA (Changzhou) Mechatronics System Co., Ltd., invested by Yaskawa, the leading global manufacturer of industrial robots, started mass production in Wujin National High-Tech Industrial Zone (WIZ). Party Secretary Chen Jinhu attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, stating that Changzhou will continuously optimize its business environment for foreign-invested companies to achieve sustainable success in the Chinese market. YASKAWA (Changzhou) Mechatronics System is a new plant manufacturing mounting boards for servo amplifiers and AC drives as well as electronic units for robot control panels used in YASKAWA’s production bases in China. With a total investment of 150 million US dollars, the first-phase project is estimated to have an annual output value of about 3 billion yuan. As a long-term investor in Changzhou, YASKAWA launched its first overseas production facility for industrial robots in Wujin as early as 2012, said Qiao Junjie, Party Secretary of Wujin District. He stated that Wujin is ready to provide more preferential policies and targeted services for high-quality investors, looking forward to more cooperation opportunities with industrial leaders like YASKAWA in broader areas. Senior officials of YASKAWA and its Chinese branches attended the opening ceremony virtually.
