According to the officially released information from the Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission, between 00:00 and 24:00, February 25, no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Jiangsu. One of the previously severe cases has turned moderate after treatment. Five additional patients have been cured and discharged from the hospital, of which one was once in critical condition. As of the 25th of February, 631 confirmed cases have been reported in Jiangsu accumulatively, of which 51 were confirmed in Changzhou. To date, a total of 41 patients in Changzhou diagnosed with COVID-19 have been cured and have been subsequently discharged from the hospital. According to the relevant national laws and regulations, based on the current COVID-19 situation in the province, Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government has decided to lower its level of public health emergency response from level-I to level-II from 24:00, February 24. Experts urge the public to take necessary health precautions no matter which level of public health emergency response is in place, for the chance of exposure to infection sources increases with various restrictive measures being lifted and normal population flow being restored. Continue to reduce social activities and unnecessary crowd gatherings. Maintain regular cleaning and good ventilation both at home and the workplace. Wear a mask when going out, especially in public places. Develop healthy lifestyle habits and pay more attention to hand hygiene and food safety.
