‘LEF China Changzhou Networking Conference held in Wujin

On July 16, the ‘LEF China Changzhou Networking Conference was held in Wujin Green Building Industry Cluster Demonstration Area. Representatives from 18 enterprises in Latvia, Estonia and Finland carried out in-depth exchanges with over 30 enterprises in Wujin, Changzhou.

The Wujin Green Building Industry Cluster Demonstration Area is the first of its kind and is promoted and sanctioned by the Chinese Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, aimed at promoting green buildings and green building technologies. The LEF China project is jointly funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Central Baltic Programme 2014-2020. It is dedicated to promoting technologies and products in low carbon energy, green building and other areas. Project partners believes that companies from Central Baltic Region have high potential in cooperation with China and that Latvian, Estonian and Finnish companies has good cooperation offers to potential partners from China. The project focuses on the sector of wood products with added value such as log houses, wood doors, wood windows, furniture and so on.

At the conference, six LEF companies including Q-haus, Kontio, Crosslam, Aureskoski, Tammiston and Parkanon signed contracts with Wujin Green Building Industry Cluster Demonstration Area to build their Chinese headquarters in the area. Cooperation will be carried out in the fields of wooden building materials, energy conservation and environmental protection technologies and the establishment of an international innovation platform.
