4.358 million tourist trips made in Changzhou during the holiday

During the eight-day holiday, which combines China’s National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival, 4.358 million tourist trips were taken in Changzhou -- generating 3.914 billion yuan in tourism revenue. With the average spent per day reaching 1,325 yuan, 36.5% of the tourists stayed overnight in Changzhou, accounting for 50% of the tourism expenditure during the holiday.

As for Liyang and Jintan, their figures represent about 94.8% and 112.46% of the numbers of trips made in the same period last year.

About 7% of visitors to Changzhou came from within Jiangsu province, while the rest traveled from outside the province, including Anhui, Shanghai, Zhejiang, etc.

The city’s eight major tourist attractions -- Universal Dinosaur Town, Tianning Temple, Yancheng Ruins, JoyLand, Chinese Filial Piety Garden, Tianmu Lake Tourist Resort, Jardin Admirable, and Oriental Salt Lake Resort -- received 1.65 million visitors, representing 96.68% of the numbers of trips made in the same period last year.

The five national countryside destinations of Xiangu, Qingfeng, Lijia, Lishi and Chengxi, reputed as the must-go villages in Changzhou, received 321,400 visitors, achieving over 35.18 million yuan in tourism revenue.

More than 120,000 trips were taken in Caoshan Tourist Resort.

A total of 135,500 tourists visited the historic conservation area of Qingguo Lane.

Changzhou Museum, with a series of activities like The Art of Maiji Mountain Grottoes, attracted 47,000 visitors, representing 95.9% of the number of visitors recorded during the same period last year.
