On May 8, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Changzhou Municipal People’s Government and a cooperation framework agreement with Liyang Government to establish the Liyang Campus of NUAA. This cooperation means that Liyang is about to have its first university.

Zheng Yongan, party secretary of NUAA, Nie Hong, chancellor of NUAA, Ding Chun, mayor of Changzhou, Fang Guoqiang, vice mayor of Changzhou, and representatives of Liyang Government attended the signing ceremony.

NUAA is one of China’s premier learning and research institutions which has now developed into a comprehensive university featured with aerospace engineering. Ever since its foundation in 1952, it has been striving to conduct world-level research and education system. NUAA has established a complete aviation-related education, research and training system including disciplines of aircraft design, power systems, avionics systems, aircraft manufacturing, air traffic control, airworthiness, etc.
