On the evening of Sept. 26th, Changzhou Municipal People’s Government held the reception marking the 68th anniversary of the founding of PRC and the ceremony to confer the title of Honorary Citizen of Changzhou.

Ding Chun, Mayor of Changzhou, Fang Guoqiang, Deputy Mayor of Changzhou, Yu Zhiping, Chairman of Changzhou Municipal Committee of CPPCC, Cai Jun, Deputy Secretary of Changzhou Municipal Committee of CPC, Li Xiaoping, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Changzhou Municipal People’s Congress, Hang Yong, Secretary-General of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, attended the reception.

The reception also had the presence of representatives of Changzhou’s honorary citizens; foreign guests from 20 nations including managers of foreign-funded enterprises and cultural, educational and technical experts; compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and representatives of overseas Chinese and returned overseas Chinese scholars for start-ups; and responsible people of Changzhou’s major foreign-related departments.

Mayor Ding Chun awarded the Honorary Citizen certificates to the 16th batch of Changzhou Honorary Citizens for their outstanding contributions to Changzhou’s development in opening up, investment and trade, science and technology innovation, culture, education and healthcare, and international exchanges.
