Recently, four projects in Jintan have been selected for this year鈥檚 key projects of Jiangsu province, said Jintan District Development and Reform Commission.

They are SEMCORP Changzhou鈥檚 coated separators for lithium-ion battery with a total investment of 5.2 billion yuan, CALB鈥檚 lithium-ion battery for new energy vehicle with a total investment of 12 billion yuan, SVOLT鈥檚 headquarters project with a total investment of 15 billion yuan, and the Taoge water environment improvement project with a total investment of 1.358 billion yuan.

In 2022, SEMCORP Changzhou will build four production lines for coated separators, CALB will construct a new lithium-ion battery factory with a capacity of 30Gwh, and SVOLT will build a 50GWh lithium-ion battery production base.

The Taoge water environment improvement project in the upper reaches of Taihu Lake is a pilot project under the cooperation of Jintan and Wujin districts. This year, Jintan will focus on improving the water environment of Changdang Lake and renovating the existing sewer system in the Jinsha Old Town area.
