At the first Changzhou Patent Awards held on April 26, the World Intellectual Property Day, five companies were awarded gold medals. They are: Changzhou Tronly New Electronic Materials Co., Ltd., CRRC Qishuyan Institute Co., Ltd., Tanyuan Tech Co., Ltd., New United Rail Transit Technology Co., Ltd., and Trina Solar Co., Ltd.

The Changzhou Patent Awards was set up by the Municipal Government last year, in order to motivate the units and individuals that have made outstanding contributions to innovation, invention and entrepreneurship, and to raise enterprises� and institutions� awareness of protecting their intellectual property rights through the patent system.

Besides the five gold medalists, there are also 10 Excellence Award winners such as Changfa Agricultural Equipment Co., Ltd., BeStar Holding Co., Ltd. and Changzhou Huada Kejie Opto-Electro Instrument Co., Ltd., and five Excellent Inventors including Qu Dongsheng, Qian Xiaochun, Xu Jianmei, Wang Huaqing and Tang Yunbing.

At the theme activity of the 4·26 World Intellectual Property Day, the Municipal Intellectual Property Bureau published theWhite Paper on Intellectual Property Development and Protection. Changzhou Intermediate People’s Court released theTop 10 Intellectual Property Disputes 2017and introduced the relevant information about the judicial protection of intellectual property rights.
