On April 16, it was learned from the Liyang Government that the General Office of Jiangsu Provincial Government had issued a document a few days ago and awarded Liyang the Jiangsu Habitat Environment Award.

It is learned that the Jiangsu Habitat Award is a comprehensive award set up by the CPC Provincial Committee and the Provincial Government to comprehensively review the overall achievements in improving the habitat environment. The evaluation includes: urban and rural planning, urban infrastructure construction, urban and rural environment construction and ecological improvement, urban and rural housing construction, city management, and so on.

In December of last year, Liyang passed the examination and acceptance for the Jiangsu Habitat Award by the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, ranking high in all the indicators such as green coverage, good air quality, housing security, domestic garbage and sewage treatment.

The Jiangsu Habitat Award is evaluated once a year, after which the outstanding winner will be selected to compete for the China Habitat Award.
