On May 21, the second batch of key projects of Wujin district started construction with the groundbreaking ceremony held in Changzhou Economic Development Zone. Vice Mayor Liang Yibo attended the event.

A total of 26 projects started construction in the district with a total investment of 6.3 billion yuan. Among them, the Century Rail Transit Intelligent Management Equipment Project is a provincial key project with a total investment of 3 billion yuan. It will build and renovate 200,000 square meters of workshop, R&D center and office building. After putting into production, the annual capacity will reach 4,000 sets of rail transit intelligent management equipment, with an estimated annual sales of 5 billion yuan. The first phase of the project will invest 1.4 billion yuan. Its newly-built R&D center will become the research and innovation base to settle the Joint Laboratory of Shanghai University of Technology, the Production and Research Base of Southeast University, the Smart Rail Transit System and the Century Cloud Data Center.

As of the end of April, a total of 220 key construction projects in Wujin have altogether invested 16.72 billion yuan, including 115 new projects and 105 projects continuing their construction.
