This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Guinea. Under the guidance of the Belt and Road Initiative, the project of Changzhou Industrial Park in Guinea was officially signed on July 1 to be jointly established by the governments of Tianning District and Guinea. On June 30, Dr. Ibrahima Khalil Kaba, Chief of Staff, Office of the President led a delegation to Changzhou. Mayor Ding Chun met with the delegation at the Administration Center on the afternoon of July 1. Ding Chun briefly introduced the economic and social development of Changzhou. He said that Guinea is an important country along the Belt and Road, with broad cooperation prospects in various areas. He hopes that the two sides will take the opportunity of co-building the Changzhou Industrial Park in Guinea to promote Changzhou and Guinean cities in economic, trade and cultural exchanges and cooperation on the basis of equality and mutual benefit. Dr. Kaba said that in recent years, China and Africa have carried out in-depth and comprehensive cooperation with fruitful results under the BRI framework, during which Guinea has learned many methods and experiences in attracting enterprises and developing industries. He also expressed a positive impression of Changzhou’s talent cultivation, technology development and innovation, hoping that the two sides will use the Changzhou Industrial Park in Guinea as a platform to continuously deepen cooperation and achieve a win-win situation. During their stay in Changzhou, the members of the delegation also visited Changzhou Inspection, Testing and Certification Industrial Park and Changzhou Amarton Co., Ltd.
