Jiangsu Transmission and Transformation Industry Technology Alliance was set up in Changzhou on December 21. Vice mayor Wang Chengbin attended the unveiling ceremony.

Transmission and transformation industry is the key developing industry in Changzhou . In 2009, the output value of the enterprises above scale of the industry reached RMB 72.3 billion. Now, Changzhou has owned over 600 transmission and transformation industries, including 300 enterprises above scale. Last year, 76 enterprises achieved the output value of more than RMB 100 million, 10 enterprises achieved the output value of more than RMB 1 billion. During the ��twelveth-five-year plan��, Changzhou will strive to build a top-grade and advanced ��No. 1 China Transmission and Transformation Equipment City ��, of which sales revenue of enterprises above scale exceeding RMB 100 billion.

The alliance will aim at the strategic research, high technology research, key equipment development, technology and product standard formulation of UHV, smart grid and other manufacturing fields to carry out innovative activities.

Mr. Wang Shaojun, general manager of Changzhou XD Transformer Co., Ltd. was elected the chairman of the alliance.
