Right before the New Year, Jiangsu Shangshang Cable Group and State Nuclear Power Engineering Company(SNPEC)signedan agreement on the Generation 3 Nuclear Power project, upon which Shangshang Cable became China 's first private company to be engaged in nuclear power construction. The Generation 3 Nuclear Power Plant, with an investment amounting up to RMB 200 million, has the most advanced technology in the world.

As the undertaker of the Nuclear PowerAP1000program, SNPEC is responsible of constructing theworld's first AP1000 nuclear power plant. In the face of thehistorical opportunity ofarevivalof nuclear power industry, this project plays an important role in promoting China 's independent construction and development potential in this field.
