On the morning of January 26, Changzhou government formally signed the strategic cooperation agreement withCSR Corporation Limited, which lays a solid foundation for building a hundred-billion rail transportation industry.

As the China's largest,world's secondrail transportation equipmentmanufacturing company, CSRownsthe world's largestmanufacturingbase forelectric locomotive, R&D and manufacturing base forhigh-speedEMUs andhigh-powerinternal combustion engineand diesel locomotive with world-leading technologies,Asia's largestfreight trainR&Dandmanufacturing base, and China's largestpassengertrainR&Dand manufacturing base, andurban railsubwaymanufacturing base. In 2010, the output value of rail transportation industry in Changzhou reached RMB 40 billion. CSR Qishuyan Institute Co., ltd., CSR Qishuyan Co., Ltd. and CSR Yangtze Co., Ltd. achieved rapid development in Changzhou .

According to thestrategic cooperation agreement, the project of CSR Urban Light Rail Industry Park will be established in Qishuyan district. The project will be divided into three phases, and the investment in first phase exceeds RMB 1 billion.
