Lechler lays foundation stone for its plant in China-German (Changzhou) Innovation Park

On June 18, the foundation stone for Lechler Nozzle & Spray System (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. was laid in the China-German (Changzhou) Innovation Park in the Jintan Economic Development Zone. The first phase of the project will invest US$10 million to build an global leading production center for nozzles and spray systems, which will greatly promote the precision manufacturing industry in Jintan.

Since Lechler GmbH was founded in 1879, the company has developed into the second largest nozzle manufacturer in the world today. With over 25,000 nozzle variants, Lechler enables optimization in a wide variety of industries, processes and applications, from snow cannons to steelworks and cruise ships to industry and agriculture. The Changzhou company will become Lechler’s first production center in China, which is expected to start production in 2021 with an annual capacity of 60,000 sets of nozzles and spray systems.

Prior to Lechler, 25 German-funded enterprises such as EMAG, Pilz and Genona have already settled within Jintan, making the district an ideal place for German businesses. In July 2018, the China-German (Changzhou) Innovation Park was officially approved by the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government to establish in Jintan, becoming the first multinational cooperation park in the district.
