On the morning of August 18, vice mayors Du Rongliang and Chen Zhengchun paid a visit to the Changzhou Task Force in Kunshan, a team responsible for shuttling international passengers from Shanghai to Changzhou amid COVID-19 pandemic. Yu Pei, vice director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, reported on the recent work of the task force. Wu Zhongde, head of Jiangsu Task Force in Kunshan, introduced the policies and procedures. Du Rongliang and Chen Zhengchun highly evaluated the work of Changzhou Task Force and expressed their gratitude and respect to the staff on behalf of the Changzhou Response Center for Infection Prevention and Control for COVID-19. They called for joint efforts to keep morale high during challenging times and enhance unity and cooperation, as well as ensuring protection against COVID-19 for the staff, in order to win the battle against imported infections. Liu Wenrong and Qian Xujian, deputy secretary-generals of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, as well as relevant persons in charge of the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, Public Security Bureau and Health Commission, attended the visit to Kunshan.
