According to the statistics of Changzhou Tourism Bureau, during the Golden Week, the 64 scenic spots in Changzhou altogether received nearly 5.19 million tourists with a year-on-year growth of over 8%. The tourism revenue reached about 300 million yuan with a year-on-year growth of almost 11%.
During the National Day holiday, the 17 scenic spots for rural tourism included in the statistics received 680,000 tourists with a year-on-year growth of nearly 48%. The business incomes totaled 3.11 million yuanwith a year-on-year growth of44%.
Besides, due to the influence of the increase of visa-free countries, the increase of international flights and the price fall of outbound travel, the outbound tourism products of Changzhou’s large travel agencies were very popular. Travel routes to hot destinations such as Japan, South Korea and Thailand were almost full.
The local tourist consumption also shows the attractiveness of Changzhou City. During the 10 days before the National Day and the 7 days of the holiday, the city’s 41 large and medium sized key retail companies and wholesale markets as well as the 6 catering enterprises realized a total sales of over 2.4 billion yuan with a year-on-year growth of over 13%.
The letting rate of the city’s 81 tourist hotels included in the statistics reached up to over 72%. The letting rate from October 2ndto 4thwas over 87%.
