According to the Tourism Work Conference held on February 26th, Changzhou received 54.55 million domestic and foreign tourists (149,000 visitors per day) in 2015, 1.9 times that of 2010, an average annual increase of 14%. The tourism revenue reached 7.31 billion yuan, 2.1 times that of 2010, an average annual rise of 16%. The growth rate ranks the first in south Jiangsu, while the tourism economic aggregate retains the forth place in Jiangsu. The conference proposed that by 2020, the whole city will receive 77 million tourists, with an average annual increase of 7.2%; the tourism revenue will reach 120 billion yuan, up 10.5% annually; the average annual investment of tourism will make over 14 billion yuan; and the per capita visiting days will increase to 1.9 days, with the per capita spending of 1,500 yuan. This year, Changzhou will launch the second-phase program of the industry management and service system for the city’s smart tourism public service platform. The system aims to improve the collection and analysis system of tourists information as well as the city’s holiday tourism information management system, so as to build a big data platform combining administrative management, administrative supervision, self-help tour, qualification evaluating and personnel training. This program also promotes the development of online tourism agencies in order to establish the e-commerce ecosystem of tourism industry in Changzhou.
