According to the officially released information from the Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission, on February 11, Jiangsu had 28 newly confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP), of which five were in Changzhou.

Among the five newly confirmed cases in Changzhou, patient 32 is a resident of Wujin district, who had close contact with one of the previously confirmed cases in Wuxi city. Patient 33, a nurse working and living in Jintan district, recently showed symptoms of fever and cough and has been admitted to the designated hospital. Patients 34, 35 and 36, residents of Jintan district, all had close contact with patient 33. The oldest patient was 56, and the youngest was 24. All of them are currently receiving treatment in designated hospitals and are in stable physical condition. 152 close contacts have been found and are now under medical quarantine.

As of February 11, a total of 543 confirmed cases have been reported in Jiangsu, of which 36 cases were confirmed in Changzhou. As of this update, a total of 12 patients in Changzhou diagnosed with the NCP have recovered and were subsequently discharged from the hospital.

Experts urge people to stay at home and avoid public situations. Do not use public transportation if possible. Private car drivers are encouraged to open windows for ventilation. Wear a mask if you have to go out, and clean and disinfect your hands often. Seek treatment at one of the designated hospitals when necessary, and inform the health professionals of the places you have been to within the previous two weeks.
