On February 4, it was learned from Changzhou Municipal Office of the State Administration of Taxation (SAT) that ever since tax break for new-energy vehicles was put into practice in September last year, a total of 1,311 new-energy vehicles were exempt from purchase taxes in Changzhou. Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the SAT co-released the category of tax-exempt vehicles for the third time, including all-electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). EVs include EV200 of BAIC Motor and several models of JAC Motors. As for PHEVs, the upcoming 530Le of BMW Brilliance is the only product of joint venture. In addition, BYD Qin and BYD Tang are also listed in the new category.
