The Dragon Boat Festival falls on June 14 this year, which is the fifth day of the fifth month on the Chinese lunar calendar.

Despite sporadic cases of COVID-19 detected in some areas, domestic tourism's growth momentum remains high, with people's passion for travel undimmed thanks to efficient epidemic control measures and the growing number of people receiving vaccinations.

Attractions highlighting "red tourism" were popular among travelers as this year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

Starting from June 12, Changzhou saw 75,525 passenger trips via roads during the three-day break, 12 percent higher than the same holiday last year.

Among those trips, 35,469 were bus trips departed from Changzhou, Jintan, or Liyang, while 9,544 passengers chose charter bus services to destinations in neighboring cities or provinces.
