The 18^thBeijing Student Film Festival (BSFF) was held at the end of April. The opening movieQu Qiubai and Yang Zhihuawhich was produced by Changzhou and directed by Mr. Huo Jianqi claimedtheBest Director award.

On this session of BSFF,Qu Qiubai and Yang Zhihuanot only was selected as the opening film from over 100 competitors, but also received two important award nominations (the Best Director and the Best Film) at the same time.

Huo Jianqi defeated Feng Xiaogang, director ofAftershock, Liu Jie, director ofDeep in the Clouds, Lin Chaoxian, director ofThe Stool Pigeonand Su Zhaobin, director ofReign of Assassinsand finally won the title of Best Director.
