On October 25^th, the Forum on Chinese and Foreign Police Public Relations & the 1st Police Public Relations Star Competition was held in Changzhou. It was jointly sponsored by China International Public Relations Association, Chinese People’s Public Security University and Nanjing Forest Police College, and organized by Changzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau. Over 110 representatives from 22 Chinese provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region participated in the forum. Mr. Zhao Dali, Executive Vice Chairman of China International Public Relations Association, and Mr. Shang Jianrong, Vice Mayor of Changzhou and Director of Changzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech each.

As a yearly festival in the field of Chinese police public relations, the forum consisted of three thematic lecture events. Researchers, practice planners and leaders of domestic and foreign police public relations such as Ms. Sun Juan, Director of Police Public Relations Research Centre of Chinese People’s Public Security University, Mr. Shi Zijian, Specially-Appointed Professor of Shanghai Police College, Mr. Tang Simin, Chief Inspector of Hong Kong Police Force, and Mr. Ge Xiaoxian, Security Supervisor of Nanjing Youth Olympic Games, were invited to made speeches, which covered over 10 cases regarding security public relations at the Youth Olympic Games, Hong Kong youth police report public relations, UN peace-keeping police public relations and Chinese and foreign police public relations. The micro film about public relations regarding police service of people’s livelihood showed by Changzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau won the recognition and praise of all the participants. During this forum, the results of the 1st Police Public Relations Star Competition were announced. “Research Report on Comparison of Changzhou and Singapore Public Relations between Police and Civilians� won the only Special Prize.
