On May 13, the opening ceremony of Minmetals -XD Coil Center ( Changzhou ) was held in Zhonglou Economic Zone.

Minmetals -XD Coil Center ( Changzhou ) was jointly invested by China Minmetals Corporation (No. 321 in Fortune 500) and China XD Group (first place of top 100 electric companies in China ) in July 2008 with the registered investment of RMB 92 million. It involves the investment of RMB 212 million in first phase and has the design & processing capacity of 50,000 tons. Currently, the first-phase project has been put into operation.

With the investment and support of China Minmetals Corporation and China XD Group, Changzhou ��s power transmission and transformation industry will achieve rapid development.
