On December 8, the 9th International Green Habitat Forum was grandly opened in Wujin. This forum is sponsored by the Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Center for International Cooperation of the National Development and Reform Commission, and the United Nations Environment Programme � Sustainable Building and Climate Initiative (UNEP-SBCI); and is co-sponsored by China Merchants Property Development Holding Co., Ltd. and Wujin District Government. The theme of the forum is "Green Industry & Eco-development," containing several aliquot seminars such as "Low-carbon Policies and Public Participation," " Eco-city and Industry Cluster,� “Integration and Practice of Green Technology," "Green Industry Chain,� etc. The purpose of this forum is to promote international exchanges and cooperation in the field of green energy and ecological industry, so as to further explore a new model of coordinative development of green habitat and green industry.

Wujin Green Building Industrial Agglomeration Demonstration Area is located in the the southwest of Wujin’s central area, covering a total area of 15.6 square kilometers.
