According to the officially released information from the Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission, between 00:00 and 24:00, February 28, no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Jiangsu. 13 additional patients have been cured and discharged from the hospital.

As of the 28th of February, 631 confirmed cases have been reported in Jiangsu accumulatively, of which 51 were confirmed in Changzhou. To date, a total of 48 patients in Changzhou diagnosed with COVID-19 have been cured and have been subsequently discharged from the hospital.

According to the relevant national laws and regulations, based on the current COVID-19 situation in the province, Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government has lowered its level of public health emergency response from level-I to level-II.

Experts urge the public to take necessary health precautions no matter which level of public health emergency response is in place, for the chance of exposure to infection sources increases with various restrictive measures being lifted and normal population flow being restored. Continue to reduce social activities and unnecessary crowd gatherings. Maintain regular cleaning and good ventilation both at home and the workplace. Wear a mask when going out, especially in public places. Develop healthy lifestyle habits and pay more attention to hand hygiene and food safety.
