In the first half year, the GDP of Changzhou reached 259.63 billion yuan, increased by 9.1% according to comparable price, the same with the pace of growth registered in the first quarter. The primary industry reached 5.48 billion yuan, up 2.9%; the secondary industry achieved 132.12 billion yuan, an increase of 8.6%; and the third industry made 122.03 billion yuan, growing by 10.1%.

Changzhou has been sparing no effort in maintaining steady growth, carrying out structural adjustment, promoting innovation and improving people’s livelihood during the “Year of Further Promoting Major Projects.�
