During daylight hours on August 2, Changzhou experienced temperatures of over 37 degrees Celsius, Changzhou Meteorological Bureau said.

The bureau pointed out that the temperature will continue to be high, with the daily high temperatures reaching around 40 degrees Celsius in the following days.

The bureau advised the public to avoid outdoor activities during high-temperature periods and suggested that workers exposed to high temperatures shorten continuous working hours.
