The list of 50 candidates for the Craftsmen of China 2018, jointly organized by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the Central Radio and Television General Station, was recently announced. Deng Jianjun, technical director of Changzhou’s Black Peony (Group) Co., Ltd., was successfully selected.

Deng Jianjun is 50 years old this year. During the last 30 years at his job in Black Peony, he grew up from an ordinary young worker to a model of innovative development in the new era. He was revered as a leader of China's “knowledge-type industrial workers� and a symbol of “blue-collar elite.�

So far, Deng has participated in 429 technological transformations and completed 136 projects independently.
