On the afternoon of November 21, at the Forum on China-EU Urbanization Partnership, Changzhou and Essen, Germany signed the Letter of Intent on China-EU Cooperation in Urbanization Programs, upon which the two cities, focusing on innovation, education, intelegence, green, humanities and livability, will carry out cooperation in fileds of urban planning, technology, education, business, tourism, etc., and establish a Sino-German friendship and cooperation demonstration zone.

Premier Mr. Li Keqiang, European Council President Mr. Herman Van Rompuy, and European Commission President Mr. José Manuel Barroso witnessed the signing ceremony.
