Recently, the list of 2021 China’s Top 100 Machinery Industry Companies is released. Four companies from Changzhou are on the list, they are: Shangshang Cable Group (ranking 22nd), Hengli Hydraulic (ranking 54th), Huapeng Group (ranking 66th) and Changchai Co., Ltd (ranking 95th).

In the past 17 years since 2004, the list has been released annually. As the most influential event in China’s machinery industry, the number of enterprises on the list indicates how developed the machinery industry of a city is.

Shangshang Cable Group has been on the list for 17 years in a row. The company focuses on the R&D, manufacturing and services of electric wires and cables. The products cover renewable energy, power transmission & distribution networks, shipbuilding & offshore & port infrastructure, building construction, mining, industrial manufacturing, rail transit, automobile, airports and other fields.

Headquartered in Changzhou, Hengli Hydraulic has founded four hydraulic R&D centers in China, Germany, the United States and Japan, and eight manufacturing bases worldwide. After the acquisition of Shanghai Lixin Hydraulics and Hawe InLine Hydraulik GmbH, Hengli has entered the global market of high-end hydraulic components.

Huapeng Group is a national designated enterprise specializing in the manufacturing of transformers. Its products are widely used in thermal power, hydropower, rail transit, space flight, aviation and other fields, and are exported to more than 60 countries and regions including North America and Europe.

Changchai Co., Ltd is the only enterprise on the list in the field of small-sized diesel engine for agriculture use. The company maintains its lead in this sector, entering the list for 13 consecutive years since 2008.
