Recently, Changzhou Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau issued the first ‘integration Certificate of Origin. The holder of the Certificate is headquartered in Changzhou, while its Suqian branch wanted to export products to Russia, and thus applied for the ‘integration Certificate of Origin. By doing so, headquarters staff no longer need to rush to Suqian with a thick profile for accreditation. It is understood that a Certificate of Origin is an important international trade document attesting that goods in a particular export shipment are wholly obtained, produced, manufactured or processed in a particular country. A Certificate of Origin also constitutes a declaration by the exporter. Virtually every country in the world considers the origin of imported goods when determining what duty will be assessed on the goods or, in some cases, whether the goods may be legally imported at all. Before the introduction of the ‘integration Certificate of Origin, the Suqian branch of the above-stated company must apply for a Certificate of Origin in Suqian, but the company's foreign trade personnel and relevant information are all collected in Changzhou headquarters, which is very inconvenient. For such cases, Jiangsu Province actively promoted the issuance of ‘integration Certificate of Origin for qualified applicants. An applicable enterprise may choose any inspection and quarantine authority in Jiangsu to apply for a Certificate of Origin.
