Changzhou accelerates waterway construction with a planned investment of 770 million

It was learned from the waterway authority that the level-3 waterway network renovation project of Changzhou will be accelerated in 2014, with a planned investment of 770 million yuan.

Up to now, 60% of the Changzhou section of the Grand Canal in the south of Jiangsu has been completed with an input of 400 million yuan, including 70% of substructure and 40% of superstructure of bridge; the section between Nandu and Liyang on the Wushen Line (from Wuhu Lake to Shanghai) has materialized an input of 120 million yuan, of which 40% of the waterway and 70% of substructure and 40% of superstructure of bridge have been completed; and the Liyang section of Danjinli (Danyang-Jintan-Liyang) Canal has completed an input of 250 million yuan, of which 50% of the waterway and 80% of substructure and 50% of superstructure of bridge have been completed. The construction of Qishuyan section of the Grand Canal and the Jiangdian-Nandu Bridge on the Wushen Line will be commenced within this year.

In 2013, the level-3 waterway network renovation project of Changzhou has completed an investment of 982.79 million yuan, accounting for 102.3% of the annual plan, of which the second phase of Changzhou section of Xili (Wuxi-Liyang) Canal, Jintan section of Danjinli Canal and the Danjin (Danyang-Jintan) navigation lock project have already passed check and acceptance.
